hey guys. well somehow we managed to win the hibiscus coast primal battle of the
bands on thursday night! that was huge up against the likes of no chance and class one who also played brilliant sets. so
now we're $100 richer and heading to the auckland final next thursday night. we hope too see some support there. thank you
so much to everyone who came on thursday night your support was much appreciated. it was a very unexpected win, and we hoped
you enjoyed it.
well what to say. eight gigs for us this month. that is insane. its not like
we're getting payed or anything but still it keeps us on our toes. i want to take this opportunity to thank some people. i
dont think we or any band really does this enough. first of all aaron hughes and scott lamb, who if it wasnt for them we wouldnt
have had anywhere near the amount of opportunities that we have had. thanks you guys you cant imagine what you've done for
our band. second the people who regularly come and see us play. im thinking mel, vicky, nat and gema for starters. also people
who come to practises, (andrew, terry, sam h) and people who put in the good word for us (thanks shannon p.s ill dedicate you
a song this week i promise man). i also wana thank two awesome chicks rosemary and danielle who have been known to travel
about 5 hours in one day to see us play! your legends! and last but not least, bands like mums dollar, nevertheless, no chance,
class one, holdfast and others. every band who we've had the pleasure of playing with, and who we will play with in the future.
aren't i in a nice mood today. email us if you wanna know anything. thanks guys, we love you!.....................all done
Well we just completed our assault on orewa college. The gig was to raise money
for SADD which is a real good cause. The first song sucked. Sam screwed up on drums then my guitar strap came loose and i
just looked like a real dick. Apart from that she was a relatively smooth ride. I think we got like $150 or something. Some
orewa college people are too stingy to pay the small fee of one dollar we asked to support this cause. SHAME ON YOU OREWA!
I never liked you anyway.
Next up primal battle of the bands next thursday the 6th of june. Should be interesting,
i dont think we have fully sorted out what we are playing for that yet so we'll decide sometime. Feel free to come along and
support us, it never hurts to hear someone actually clap at the end of our songs. It makes me all warm inside......Enough.
The day after that we travel to long bay college for another school gig with the
almighty punk rockers "no chance". They are also playing at a gig with us,stiff up lip and nevertheless on june 15th. So here
we come long bay. Also the streetskate gig has been confirmed and we will be playing on june 28th in an underground car park
with skate ramps. ill tell you more when i actually know.
Also a huge thanks to you people visiting this site. As you might have noticed our
counter has just ticked over 200 visitors! (WHOOOOA!) and thats all thanks to you guys. Beers are on me if we hit a thousand.
Sweet. I think thats all. We are about to begin work on some new songs too so more about them soon but for now go and play
with your lego.....
Hello rank fans. Well ive been hard at work updating this site as you may be able to tell. There are pics of us on the
pics page now which is good. If you want to be on the fan page send me a photo and we'll put you on the web. Nice. We've been
asked to play the auckland show of the underground tour organised by holdfast drummer ken too which is held at pizza pizza
on friday the 28th of june. Tell you more bout that when i find out. Anyways for those sitting exams good luck, and keep safe
you rank fans. EMAIL US!!! Thanx.
Hey there guys. This is tony, sorry but bevans doing something more important at the moment so your stuck with my updates
on the progress of the band you all love to hate. Suprisingly a lot has happened in the last while and a lot is going to happen
in the near while. We have a few gigs coming up, check out our gig guide for more details. It was huge to play at the undergrounds
own show run by scott and aaron on the 20th. A huge night. For those of you who came, thanks heaps for the support, sorry
about me having to be the "cool" guy to break a string and ruin some of our songs, but you get that i suppose. Still it was
a whole lot of fun. Thanks heaps to scott and aaron for running it and inviting us (and paying us!!) it was an awesome night.
Our demo cd which we finished a couple of months ago was a lot of fun to record. The finished product isn't amazingly
pretty, but it will do until we go into the studio (which looks as though it could be july if all goes to plan). We are entering
the primal battle of the bands which is starting early june, and have gigs planned with south auckland legends nevertheless
and mums dollar on the 11th of may. We are also looking at playing at long bay college soon. We'll keep you posted on that
one.
As you may or may not know, our drummer (sam) wrote his first song not long ago. his lyrics which extended for 4 lines,
and the song which is a total of 20 odd seconds is truly a master piece. Well done sam!!! Your a true song writer at heart.
I will at some stage (maybe now if i dont fall asleep) put the lyrics up to our songs. They are quite pathetic but at
least you can learn them and sing along with us. We just completed our 13th song, and have 3 new songs since the recording
of our demo. These will be on the album later in the year.
Well i think thats it from me for now. Ill try keep this place up to date a little more often and maybe get some pictures
for you guys soon. Email us any comments or feel free to get in touch with us if you want a copy of our demo... for i dunno,
like $5. Its nothing exciting. Catch you all soon!
